When fishing 150 nautical miles from shore and at depths of 1000m, reliability is paramount - Wave Action has a hydraulic oil reservoir for the heavy duty cast iron winch head, ensuring oil temp avoids high temperatures. Two (2) Isuzu generators ensure the live catch is always live, 35 Kva and 20 Kva. 44 refrigerated live tanks, 36 below deck and 8 above (above deck tanks circulating normal sea water) holding approx 1,500kg. This closed circuit system ensures the Crystal Crab which are pulled from depths below 1000m are maintained at ideal temperature, ensuring mortality rate is low.
