The boat is made in the Netherlands using a standard designed GRP hull and a custom fit-out. This is far removed from the production boats as only 6 boats are made annually. It is a traditional styled ship on which several people can stay in a comfortable way for a longer period. According to the European CE directives the ship is classified in category "A". Category "A" means: "Designed for longer voyages in which the wind force can exceed 40 knots and the characteristic wave height can be more than 4 meters". This version of the Midget 31' is a complete sailing yacht with a sleeping capacity for 4 people. The interior lay-out comprises a roomy saloon with a U-shaped sofa, double berth in the aft cabin, a galley and a toilet. Standard are the anchor winch, the pressurized fresh water system, solid teak cockpit benches and grating, stove, oven and heating system. The lines of the Midget 31' have been derived from the classical form of the fishing boats from Lynaes, situated on the North Coast of the Danish island Seeland. For centuries this hull-form is considered as ideal for fishing boats in the often rough waters of the Kattegat.
