This boat is a well proven sea going yacht, she has sailed the Cape to Rio yacht race and back, also sailed from South Africa to Brazil, Carribbean, Panama Canal, Pacific and on to Australia. She has a 3/4 encapsulated cruising keel, so its a comfortable fast cruising yavht. The aluminium mast is keel stepped, single spreder and is cutter rigged with mast steps. She has a roller furling foresail and stack pack/lazy jacks mainsail for easy cruising for a couple, including a large comfortable centre cockpit with a bimini that encloses completely for protection from sun, wind, spray or rain. The Montevideo design includes a very low sleek coach roof for less windage when manoeuvring in windy close quarters and still has the full head room for the interior. The accommodation has a comfortable aft ensuite double bed cabin, a forward two single or converted double cabin ensuite, saloon, galley and navigation area. With the boat having done extensive cruising, it includes many extras such as ample battery power and charging systems with seven deep cycle batteries, 3 solar panels and a wind generator, also a wind pilot, the hydrovane and much much more.
